Imagine waking up every morning to the sight of your horse grazing peacefully in the paddock just outside your cosy log cabin. With direct access to the Pennine Bridleway and High Peak Trail from the farm fields, there’s plenty of safe off-road riding for you and your four-legged companion.

Riding routes
At Hoe Grange, we’re horse riders ourselves and we know all the best routes, from short loops to longer distance full day rides. Everyone’s favourite ride is over the hill to the local pub, with some great canters along the way! But that’s not all – in addition to the local bridle paths, you’ll be able to ride over 250 acres of privately owned farmland (depending on weather conditions and cropping), giving you the opportunity to canter across undulating open fields and get your horse really fit and increase stamina.

Horse facilities
We have 6 spacious stables with hayracks and auto-fill water bowls. Hay and straw bedding is included, with shavings and horse feed available on request. Grazing paddocks are available at most times of year and can be split with electric fencing if you want to separate horses. We only take one group of horses at a time so you get the best experience.
We also provide secure tack storage with saddle racks, rug racks, and space for feed. And for those necessary stable chores, we’ve got you covered with wheelbarrows, mucking out forks, yard brushes, and more.

British Horse Society approved
At Hoe Grange, we prioritize your horse’s safety and well-being, which is why we are BHS Horses Welcome approved. We offer emergency access to local vets, farriers, and equine supply merchants, and plenty of parking space for horseboxes and trailers.

Self-catering log cabins
There are 4 self-catering log cabins, sleeping 4 or 6 guests, ideal for groups – double beds can be split in to singles. Fully equipped kitchens and everything you need for a relaxing holiday, with plenty of outside space and views over the horse paddocks. Two of the cabins, Pinder and Daisybank, have hot tubs on the decking so you can chill out after a long days ride. Dogs are welcome.
